Promote your bioenergy MSc or PhD course free of charge!
25/01/2007

OPPORTUNITY The EC sponsored Bioenergy NoE (Network of Excellence) is inviting any European university offering a Masters or PhD programme in bioenergy to be represented in the Bioenergy Education and Training pavilion at the world’s biggest bioenergy event this May in Berlin. To take advantage of this offer, your programme(s) must be devoted to bioenergy and all you have to do is: • Reserve a place for your poster in the pavilion to Crystal Luxmore • Provide a A0 size poster describing your activities • Provide suitable literature for visitors to take away We will organise and set up the stand and provide personnel to greet visitors. BACKGROUND There has been rapid growth in Masters courses and PhD studies in bioenergy particularly over the last five years. For example, a survey by Bioenergy NoE found that 55 out of the 60 Masters courses teaching bioenergy in Europe began between 2000 and 2005. These new opportunities for bioenergy education and training come at just the right time to help fill some of the hundreds of thousands of jobs that will be created if bioenergy use meets EC targets. Bioenergy NoE is sponsoring the Bioenergy Education and Training Pavilion at the 15th European Bioenergy Conference to promote education and training opportunities in the sector. Any European institute providing Masters or PhD studies in biomass and bioenergy is invited to submit a poster and promotional materials to the Pavilion free of charge. This is a unique opportunity to promote your courses and programmes at the 15th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition from 7-11 May 2007. This is the largest bioenergy event in the world, with 1,200 participants from 70 countries expected to attend. RESERVATION The pavilion has limited exhibition space. To secure a place, any university interested in taking part should contact Crystal Luxmore – c.s.luxmore@aston.ac.uk – to express their interest by 31 March 2007. The organisers reserve the right to reject unsuitable contributions and the limit the number of exhibits.
